Every single thing you wrote about songs—grabbing them, capturing them, writing them, not missing them as they float past—YES, my experience exactly. That channeling from another portal, realm, person, muse, I dunno, but it's glorious when you're able to wrap your mind and creativity around that ephemeral, fleeting ribbon of inspiration. I love that process, actually; it always amazes me.
As for the quantum physics stuff: I read it, my head exploded, I have no response other than that. :)
That made me laugh out loud! :) You’re just too smart for the room, Beth! I swear to god, I start reading about quantum physics and i panic, it’s so impossible for me to grasp, but that is no reason for you not to write about it… I imagine many people out there are much more savvy on the subject than me!
One of my chief aims in life, my dear friend, is to say something that’ll make you laugh out loud. Trouble with writing about stuff like this is… I actually know very little about it! So I babble along like a little kid “and THEN I found out about this, and THEN I found out about THAT”. Sheesh. I should stick to what I know, but that would be a very small set of things.
My suggestion is you write whatever the fuck you feel like writing, even if it's saying, "I'm not sure about all this but it's interesting, isn't it?" With your brain and way with words, it IS!
Guess I’ve been steeping in the science-adjacent world so long that I’m timid about writing about stuff like this. Hanging around quantum physicists will do that. Massive brains.
But I think you’re right, nothing wrong with airing some enthusiasm about a subject, especially if one is willing to learn more. And I most definitely am.

Isn’t it an astonishing place to be, when that happens? I’m so glad you feel that too ❤️
And yeah, sorry, the physics part was my version of your side stack - more like a buzzkill stack. I shoulda left it for a different post.

Hah!! See, I laughed again!

I’ve been bathing in sound my entire life. Maybe that’s why I’m so wrinkly.
No, it’s made you into the stellar person you are now. Ever curious, empathetic and bright.
